Terms of Service

By accessing or using the get.bd website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use our services.

These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Customer", "you") and get.bd ("we", "us", "our"), a BTCL (Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited) accredited domain reseller operating under Trade License No. 017437.

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

get.bd provides the following services as an authorized BTCL reseller:

• Registration of .bd, .com.bd, .net.bd, .org.bd, .edu.bd, .info.bd, .id.bd, .co.bd, .ai.bd, .sch.bd, .tv.bd, and .বাংলা domain names
• Domain renewal and management
• DNS management services
• Domain transfer assistance

All domain registrations are subject to BTCL policies and the Domain Administration Guidelines for .bd and .বাংলা domains issued by BTRC.

To register a .bd domain, you must demonstrate a Bangladeshi presence. Eligible registrants include:

• Bangladeshi citizens (aged 18 or above)
• Bangladesh-registered companies and businesses
• NGOs, trusts, and associations registered in Bangladesh
• Government and semi-government entities
• Foreign entities through a lawful local representative with proper legal documentation

Specific TLD extensions have additional eligibility requirements. For example, .edu.bd is restricted to educational institutions, and .gov.bd is reserved for government entities.

Anonymous domain registration is not permitted. Identity verification is mandatory for all .bd domain registrations.

Domain registration is processed on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability, successful verification, and the registry rules set by BTCL.

• Domain activation occurs immediately upon payment confirmation.
• Registration does not guarantee permanent ownership. Domains must be renewed before expiry and maintained in compliance with BTCL policies.
• Some domain names are reserved or prohibited by BTCL policy. Reserved names cannot be registered even if they appear available.
• Domain names must not infringe on trademarks, intellectual property, or be used for illegal purposes.

Required documents vary by registration type:

• Individuals: National ID (NID) card or valid passport
• Businesses: Trade License or Certificate of Incorporation
• Organizations/NGOs: NGO Affairs Bureau certificate or association registration
• Educational Institutions: Government approval letter, EIIN, or UGC approval
• Foreign Entities: Local representative appointment, Power of Attorney, representative's NID, legal documents from country of origin

• All prices are listed in Bangladeshi Taka (BDT) unless otherwise stated.
• Displayed prices are the total payable in BDT. BTCL publishes its registry rates exclusive of VAT; the government VAT applicable to a .bd registration is already reflected in the price shown here, and nothing further is added at checkout.
• Payment must be completed before domain registration is processed.
• We accept payments via bKash, Nagad, bank transfer, and credit/debit cards through our client area.
• Prices are subject to change. Current pricing is displayed on our Pricing page.

Promotional discounts are subject to specific terms, including eligible TLD extensions, maximum registration period, and coupon code requirements.

• Domain registrations are valid for the period selected at the time of purchase (minimum 1 year).
• Renewal reminders are sent via email before the expiry date. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure timely renewal.
• A grace period may be available after expiry, but services (website, email) will be interrupted during this period.
• We strongly recommend renewing domains before the expiration date to avoid service disruption.
• Expired domains that are not renewed within the grace period may be released for public registration.

Domains may be suspended or cancelled under the following circumstances:

• Failure to submit required documents within 3 days of registration
• Submission of false, fraudulent, or misleading information
• Use of the domain for illegal activities, phishing, spam, or malware distribution
• Violation of BTCL or BTRC domain administration guidelines
• Non-payment of renewal fees
• Court order or law enforcement request
• WHOIS inaccuracy upon audit

We cannot override BTRC rules. Suspended domains may be reactivated upon submission of valid documents, subject to verification by get.bd. For full details, see Policy & Guidelines.

• Domain registration fees are generally non-refundable once the domain has been activated.
• No refund is provided if a domain is suspended or cancelled due to policy non-compliance.
• If a domain cannot be registered due to technical issues on our side, a full refund will be issued.
• Refund requests must be submitted via support ticket within 7 days of the transaction.

Refund processing time is typically 7-14 business days, depending on the payment method used.

As a domain registrant, you are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and truthful registration information
• Maintaining up-to-date contact and registrant details
• Submitting valid documents within the required timeframe
• Ensuring the domain is not used for prohibited purposes
• Responding promptly to verification requests from get.bd, BTCL, or BTRC
• Securing your client area account credentials
• Ensuring that subdomains comply with the same policies as the main domain

Domain monetization (parking, resale) is prohibited in protected namespaces including .edu.bd, .gov.bd, .mil.bd, .sch.bd, .org.bd, and .id.bd.

• WHOIS privacy or proxy registration services are not permitted for .bd domains, as per BTCL policy.
• Your registrant information (name, contact details) will be publicly available through the WHOIS database.
• We collect and process personal information necessary for domain registration in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
• Your information may be shared with BTCL, BTRC, or law enforcement when required by law or policy.
• We do not sell your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

• get.bd acts as an authorized reseller of BTCL. Final authority over domain registration, suspension, and cancellation rests with BTCL and BTRC.
• We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from domain suspension, cancellation, or non-renewal due to policy non-compliance.
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of our website or services.
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific service in question.
• We are not responsible for any third-party actions, including trademark disputes, domain hijacking, or unauthorized access to your account.

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time without prior notice. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on this page.

We encourage you to review this page periodically. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Significant changes may be communicated via email or through announcements on our website and client area.
